About the event
Outdoor show Who Has a Seat in the Assembly? is an interactive performance that proposes a look at the beginnings of democracy up to the present day, crossing this reflection with the process of building the Regional Political-Administrative Autonomy of the Azores. From this context, the show questions the place of women and the ways in which they were and continue to be represented in Azorean political life. Between memory, participation and critical questioning, the performance seeks to make visible these places historically occupied by women, but also to rethink and update them in light of the present. By summoning the public to this collective reflection, Who Has a Seat in the Assembly? questions the future of democracy in a time marked by technological transformation, new forms of communication and contemporary challenges of civic participation. Accessibility: Show with Portuguese Sign Language interpretation on June 6th, at 3:00 pm.
