About
A calendar you can trust
Knowing what is happening near you should not require opening ten Facebook pages and still being left in doubt.
Why it exists
Information about events in Portugal is scattered across municipal council pages, posters, social media groups, and sites that have not been updated since 2019. Many good things happen and almost no one finds out in time.
This site brings that information together in one place, with the date and location confirmed whenever there is a source to confirm them — and clearly stating when there is not.
How it is made
Each event is a structured record: dates, location, coordinates, category, organizer, and source of information. It is not a blog post with a poster attached. That is why the same event can appear on the map, in the list, in the calendar, and in nine languages without being written nine times.
We never invent data. If we do not know the end time, we do not estimate it. If an event has no public source, the page says so instead of pretending it does.
Who is behind it
The service is operated by Jaundre van Staden, in Portugal. View full identification.
It is a small, independent project. There are no investors, no advertising paying the bills, and we do not sell data from our visitors.
Where it is going
We started with the Algarve because it is possible to do one region well before doing seventeen poorly. The structure is already national, and regions open as we manage to confirm local sources.
