Course: An Atlantic Journey through Modern Art

What possibilities does telling the history of Modern art from the Atlantic bring us? Guided by the idea of deviation, this course brings to the debate authors, journeys and interfaces that textbooks rarely address, but which the exhibition “Uma deriva atlântica. As artes do século XX a partir da Coleção Berardo” allows us to explore. Countering the idea of a single reading, advocating multiple possibilities of travel; the course is in-person, with six guided sessions, between the exhibition space and the auditorium.
