'I always wake up earlier than the alarm clock to avoid the traumatic experience of being woken up.' Slavoj Žižek (Too Late to Awaken: What Lies Ahead When There Is No Future) LEX is a company that survives in a strict hierarchical system, where the strongest — or at least the smartest — wins, but where they are all part of the family. They are all employees, but the market is free to do what it wants. It is at this company that Jorge, a single father, works. Deluded by false hopes of a better future, he subserviently accepts all demands from his superiors. He is pushed into an innovative productivity program to prove his commitment and debt to the company. (It will be so worth it!) The effort will be rewarded, and hope is the last to die.
