Seminar: Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Redesign Tourism (World Tourism Day)
About the event
As part of the World Tourism Day celebrations, the municipality of Cantanhede promotes, on the 25th of September at 2:30 pm, in the auditorium of the Cantanhede Municipal Library, the seminar "Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Redesign Tourism". The initiative proposes a reflection on the growing impact of technology and artificial intelligence on the tourism sector, exploring new ways of thinking about the tourist experience and the relationship between people, destinations and digital tools. The program includes presentations by Tiago Baptista, PhD in AI and professor at FCT of the University of Coimbra, who will address "Demystifying AI: History and the Future of the Human Experience" and Cláudia Seabra, professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra and CEGOT researcher, with the theme "From the tourist guide to the algorithm: who will show us the world?". The session also includes the presentation of the case study "Uses of AI at the LOAD ZX Museum", by João Diogo Ramos, co-founder of the LOAD ZX Museum and CEO of Retmarker S.A. An opportunity to learn about different perspectives on the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence poses to the future of tourism. Venue: Biblioteca Municipal de Cantanhede.
