Ama e Faz o que Quiseres

Zé Maria presents his second album: Ama e Faz o Quiseres, revealing the new chapter of an artistic journey that has established itself in the landscape of contemporary Fado. An heir to the Lisbon tradition, yet endowed with a language of his own, the fadista has been building and sharing a singular body of work, where memory and contemporaneity coexist, along with interpretive sensitivity and the authenticity of the sung word. After his debut album, released by the Museu do Fado, Zé Maria continues to develop Fado's potential for renewal, with particular attention to poetic message and its ability to move audiences. Ama e Faz o Quiseres is an album of fados and songs that share the idea of Love — in its various dimensions — as the root of human experience and fulfillment. Once again, the fadista is credited as the author of some of the new tracks, alongside names such as Tiago Torres da Silva, Teresinha Landeiro, José Quintela, Bernardo Couto and João Filipe.
