Black Heritage Gospel Choir

Formed by voices from the legendary Mississippi Mass Choir and directed by Jerry Calvin Smith, the Black Heritage Gospel Choir presents in Portugal The Soul of Gospel, a show that traces the history of gospel, from its roots in the plantations of the American South to its most urban and contemporary expressions.
