Between Samurais and Violins

About the event
Between Samurais and Violins proposes a musical journey inspired by the life and thought of Shinichi Suzuki, a major figure in 20th-century music pedagogy. Born into a lineage of samurai and a member of the family that owned the world's largest instrument factory, his path was marked by a late discovery of the violin, a period in Berlin, a friendship with Einstein, and the formulation of the "mother tongue" principle. This concert celebrates a legacy that combines discipline, listening, and affection, revealing music as a language of formation, sharing, and growth. Between tradition and innovation, this concert promotes an immersive experience, capable of transforming performers and audiences on both sides of the stage. Concert with commentary by Susana Henriques. El Corte Inglés supports the CCB's Classical Music Mediation Programme.
