José Pedro Croft

Prints, drawings and reliefs engage in dialogue around a group of sculptures occupying the longitudinal axis of the exhibition space. These are the reflections, enclaves and deviations of José Pedro Croft, one of the most renowned Portuguese artists, on floor 0 of MAC/CCB. The selection of works for this solo exhibition reveals the artist's ongoing investigation into themes such as body, scale, space and architecture, and explores the boundaries between the flat and the three-dimensional. The exhibition unfolds along two interconnected axes: on the one hand, the articulation between graphic practice, the constructive tradition and architectural elements; on the other, the plastic rigor that suggests an experience capable of resisting the acceleration of our time.
