A Incubadora d’Artes, in collaboration with Grammy-winning music producer and keyboardist Jason Miles, presents the unique show 100 Miles – Centennial Celebration of Miles Davis, a concert commemorating the centennial of Miles Davis, on November 12, 2026, in the Grand Auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon. A central figure in the final stage of Miles Davis's career, alongside Marcus Miller, Jason Miles participated in the creation of landmark albums such as Tutu, Amandla, and Siesta, works that profoundly marked the evolution of contemporary jazz. Currently residing in Lisbon, the musician presents a retrospective that spans different periods of Davis's work, reflecting the enduring impact of his legacy. Jason Miles has also developed a career marked by collaboration with some of the most prominent names in international music, including Sting, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson. He was awarded a Grammy Award and nominated for three others. The concert will feature an internationally recognized cast, including trumpeter Randy Brecker, saxophonist Ada Rovatti, drummer Gene Lake, bassist Federico Malaman, and guitarist Tiago Oliveira, with special participation by Rita Guerra and Rui Veloso. This concert proposes a comprehensive approach to the magnificent work of Miles Davis, from Kind of Blue to the electric period, offering the audience a unique journey through the musician's career and the profound and lasting influence of his music to this day. Integrated into this show, repertoire from Jason Miles's most recent album, 100 Miles for Miles Davis, conceived as a tribute to the centennial of the legendary trumpeter, will also be presented.
