Recital “Tu és o princípio de um grande santo – A obra de Monsenhor Nunes Pereira em música”

On November 14 at 9:30 pm, the church of São Caetano hosts the music recital titled "tu és o princípio de um grande santo — a obra de monsenhor nunes pereira em música", performed by the vocal group ançãble, a distinguished moment of tribute to monsenhor nunes pereira, featuring a repertoire prepared entirely for this programme. the initiative is part of the programme "nunes pereira — do nascimento ao [re]nascimento", running from december 3, 2025 to december 9, 2026, within the commemorations of the 120th anniversary of the birth and 25th anniversary of the death of monsenhor nunes pereira (1906-2001). the initiative is promoted within the partnership involving the seminário maior de coimbra and the museu nacional de machado de castro, the municipality of cantanhede, with the participation of the municipalities of pampilhosa da serra, arganil, góis, lousã, coimbra and montemor-o-velho, among other entities. the tribute programme aims to preserve and disseminate the memory and legacy of nunes pereira, a figure whose work and career remain associated with the culture, art and religious life of the region. the november 14 session is another stage of the commemorations that, over the course of a year, have sought to bring the work and personality of nunes pereira closer to the communities and territories with which he maintained a connection. the organisation invites the community and all interested parties to join this tribute, in a moment of valuing the memory of a remarkable figure in the cultural and religious history of the region.
