DESCRIPTION:It is from the intersection between a brief program note for I
limaq\, a musical work by John Luther Adams\, and a concluding paragraph f
rom the exhibition guide of May I Help You? Posso Ajudar? Artes e artistas
da década de 1970 em diante that the public is invited to slow down and
inhabit an expanded temporality\, where listening becomes an act of presen
ce. Ilimaq means "spirit journey\," referring us to silence\, stillness\,
and understanding of the environment around us. Sound becomes a means to e
xperience and perceive the interdependence between body and space. May I H
 elp You? questions\, provokes\, fragments\, and distracts\, proposing a me
eting space where attention to what surrounds us summons an ethical and po
litical reflection. Both proposals lead us to an aesthetic experience that
goes beyond passive contemplation and calls us to active sensory particip
ation\, whether through listening to the sound environment in Ilimaq\, or
by observing the critical dialogue promoted by May I Help You?. On the day
s of the Música no Museu Cycle\, the program A Voz das Cores\, from Anten
a 2\, authored by Andrea Lupi\, will be entirely dedicated to the concert
and the works that can be visited at MAC/CCB. Guided tour by João Mateus
 at 3:30 PM.
