DESCRIPTION:Francisca Carvalho's work is based on the manipulation of symb
 ols and signs from diverse geographies — experiences that the artist has
  assimilated and transformed into collages\, drawings\, patterns\, texts\,
  paintings and textiles. This solo exhibition shows the vertiginous and co
 mplex narratives that\, like a mixture of multiple sources\, compose a ric
 h and singular vocabulary. Beyond a vast selection of works on paper\, the
  show explores the research the artist carried out in India — in the reg
 ions of Rajasthan and Gujarat — where she deepened traditional technique
 s of patterns\, natural dyes\, kalamkari and hand-block printing\, as well
  as experiments with glass. Curated by Sara De Chiara Wednesday\, 2 Decemb
