DESCRIPTION:Born in Siberia\, pianist and composer Julia Perminova builds
a musical language that crosses jazz\, classical music and contemporary ex
pression\, drawing inspiration from names such as Thelonious Monk\, Sergei
Prokofiev and Sergei Rachmaninoff. Her music\, described by pianist Aaron
Parks as «imaginative\, colorful and poetic»\, reflects an artistic pat
h marked by dialogue between different cultures and traditions. Formed sev
en years ago in Amsterdam\, during Julia's studies at the conservatory\, t
he Julia Perminova Trio currently brings together Julia Perminova on piano
\, Portuguese drummer Luís Possollo and French double bassist Matis Regna
ult. The combination of the three musicians' different origins and sensibi
lities gives rise to a vibrant and deeply interactive language\, where com
position and improvisation meet. With performances across Europe\, Asia an
d South America\, the trio stands out for intense and immersive concerts\,
marked by musical narrative\, spontaneous dialogue between the musicians
 and a strong emotional dimension.
