DESCRIPTION:Conductor Emilio Pomàrico returns to Portugal to perform The 
 Pastoral Symphony\, one of the most bucolic works in the symphonic reperto
 ire. It is hard to believe it premiered alongside the Fifth Symphony in De
 cember 1808. It evokes rural life through the transfiguration of nature in
 to music\, expressing people's feelings in those landscapes. In five movem
 ents\, it surpasses the limits of the classical form to guide us on a cont
 emplative journey\, punctuated by the living pulse of sensations and affec
 tions. In this concert\, it joins the timbral\, harmonic and melodic poeti
 cs of Ana Seara. Before that\, a little symphony – or perhaps a suite\; 
 in short\, the sequence of Overture\, Scherzo and Finale with which Schuma
 nn ventured into the highest flights of orchestral writing. Pre-concert ta
